Introduction
We are delighted you have come to explore what Christianity is about. This section will provide you with information and resources to understand what is at the heart of Christianity.
There are many significant events in the long history of the world. The rise and fall of the Roman empire, the protestant reformation of the 16th century, the age of exploration of the 15th – 17th centuries, the industrial revolution of the 18th – 19th centuries, World War I, and World War II in the 20th century are but a few examples. However, there is one historical event that rises above all others in significance. That event is the coming to earth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He came, he died, he rose from the dead and this changes everything! This watershed event is the key to answering real questions about the meaning of life and questions about your own death.
At the heart of Christianity is the gospel, the good news that though we are born into this world alienated and separated from God, Jesus came to earth to remedy that problem. In this section you will find resources to help you with basic questions about God and about yourself. You will find articles, book recommendations, and links to sermons that are designed to help you find real answers to the real issues of life and death.
