It feels like such a long time since we worshiped in person as a congregation! I’m very happy to announce that Christ Community Church in Franklin has generously offered to let us use some of their space to worship on Sunday mornings! We will begin June 7. Worship will begin at 10:00 a.m. and we are asking everyone to arrive between 8:45 and 9:00 a.m.

Who should join us? What will be required in terms of social distancing? Will we observe communion or have childcare? All of these questions are answered in the letter we published to the congregation last week. You can find this letter on our website, here. If you plan to join us, it is absolutely imperative that you read this letter carefully.

We understand that not everyone will agree with or understand the measures we are taking. This has been a confusing time for everyone personally and for many, professionally. It’s been difficult for our Session to know exactly what to do and say and when to do and say it. I can assure you, though, that we are trying to balance two things as best we can: obedience to God and love for our neighbor.

With that in mind, I want to also assure you that all of the measures we are taking are being reevaluated on a regular basis and will be adjusted as we are able. We are happy to discuss these measures with you if you have any questions. In the meantime, please be patient with us as we walk through this process together.

We look forward to seeing many of your faces in the weeks to come!
Pastor Matt
